Lake Heron Station is a 19,600 hectare merino sheep and cattle property located in the heart of the South Island of New Zealand.

Set in a stunning basin, our backdrops are glaciated mountains, tussock-covered hills, beech clad valleys and scenic Lake Heron.

Rugged, unspoilt and spectacular - we invite you to share our magnificent environment and experience an authentic, personal slice of high country life – far from the beaten track.

Guests to the station are accommodated in charming and well-appointed Lake Heron Cottage. Cosy and individual, the cottage provides visitors with a special holiday retreat.

We offer guests a wide range of experiences and activities. Whether you are seeking a relaxing break away from urban life or an active outdoor holiday, Lake Heron Station provides a wonderful setting for both.
