Following a 2 or 3 day hike through the ‘mind-expanding’ landscapes of Lake Heron Station, the company team members are accommodated in Lake Heron Cottage where they are joined by David Irving. David will then spend a day with the company team members, with the goal of distilling the learnings from the hike, into a set of team-owned higher expectations.

These expectations may come in many forms including;

  • drafting an exciting and challenging business plan
  • collectively committing to a major company strategy
  • agreeing to a new culture of endeavour
  • resolving any misalignment of the company stakeholders
  • deciding a significant succession transition.

David Irving is the retired CEO of Heinz Watties Australasia, and founder and Chairman of The Icehouse, part owner and Chairman of Cable Bay Vineyards, Chairman of Prolife Foods and a long term Advisor to Hubbard Foods, Marstel Holdings, AS Wilcox and AuCom Electronics.

David is also an Adjunct Professor at The University of Auckland Business School. He is a regular ‘management’ contributor to Unlimited Magazine. He now devotes his time completely to New Zealand SME’s.
