ACCOMMODATION
First established in 1900, Lake Heron Cottage has a history of providing accommodation for generations of staff and guests to the station.

We have lovingly restored the cottage, retaining much of the original character, to provide boutique accommodation for guests. The cottage is fully equipped for self-catering with kitchen, laundry, open fire, heaters, separate bathroom and toilet, barbeque, large outdoor area and a bath under the stars. We can accommodate up to 8 guests in 3 bedrooms and a sleep-out. Two bedrooms have queen beds. The third bedroom and sleep-out have 2 single beds in each. Electric blankets and feather duvets ensure a wonderfully cosy night’s sleep.
Cost
$200 per night for 2 people. $30 per night for each extra person.
Includes
The use of a small rowboat and life jackets on Lake Heron. The lake provides excellent swimming and fishing over the summer months, as well as the opportunity to spot the rare Southern Crested Grebe.
The use of station 4WD tracks for exploring remoter parts of the property.
Access to an interesting variety of day hikes.
Visits to historic station huts.
